Ivan Vargas Learning Log #1

Model:Emmanuel

Emmanuel was sitting on top of the platforms of the stairs of the park. I wasn’t able to take the picture from the to. So I was able to take it through the gaps. What I like from the picture is the focus of the subject and how it’s the focus of the picture. I also like how gap makes the shadow be the focus of picture, it makes seem like it has a frame around it.

Homework #1 Jim Richardson

When I started to look for a photographer for this assignment, Jim Richardson is one of the many landscape pictures I was drawn to. These two pictures are some that I found interesting on his website. I like how Jim used the water to make a blur illusion of the trees. While having some movement as well. The second picture is so direct on what the photographer wants us to see. I can see the usage of the rule of thirds being shown. Also, the castle has the brightest color because everything is very dark. Not only that but I like how the grass around the castle has a much darker green which makes us look down at the castle. I enjoy landscape photography and this to me is great.
