Rembrandt

The triangle of light on the cheek is wider than the eye, but photographers generally refer to any light pattern with that triangle of light 
Loop Light 


This creates a nose shadow that 'loops' down at an angle onto their cheek.Split Light 

This form of lighting is when half of the subject’s face is lit, while the other half is left darkBroad light 

is just the opposite of Short light. In the Broad Light setup, The side that is getting the most light is the side turning towards the camera.Short Light 

refers to when the main light illuminates the side of the face that is turned away from the camera.
