Joralfy Severino is a girl from the Bronx. She got into this major of hospitality management because she would always watch those cooking shows and wanted to become a chef. She then realized that she was good at communicating with people and making them feel good. She also enjoys going to different hotel/resorts and enjoying everything they have to offer. She hopes to one day have her own hotel/resort and the a well known person. She is excited for what is to come and for what she can learn.
My name is Jose Hasing and I live in Queens. I am currently pursuing a degree in hospitality management, in the culinary arts field. Ive always had a passion for food ever since I was young. Living in Queens your exposed to so many different cultures and so many different types of restaurants. I want to open up my own restaurant in the future, one that will blow up, make it international one day. I got into the culinary arts field when i transferred to Long Island city high school, where they offered a culinary class. In that class we learned to make all different types of pastries, cakes and breads and deserts. We competed in tournaments around the city in which we were given a time limit to complete a certain dish sort of like the show Iron Chef without the high tech kitchen. Although i only attended that high school for a couple of months I learned alot and became very interested in Culinary arts.
George Bueno is a Brooklyn native who has been interested in the culinary arts field for as long as he can remember. He graduated from Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School on June 4th, 2011 and is now attending New York City College of Technology as a Hospitality Management Major in pursuit of someday opening his own restaurant. George has always been an active member of his community and has participated in many local charitable events such as C.H.I.P.S. soup kitchen, and the St. Augustine food pantry. George also has shown interest in starting a clothing line and has made an entrance into the industry with a jewelry brand called Maraud. George’s motto is that life is nothing more than a sum of your experiences, so he makes it his goal to always try new things and to be spontaneous.
