36 Hours in Tucson

I would love to visit Tucson, Arizona because its “university town” feel. College towns tend to be very lively due to the energy and excitement of young college students. Being able to enjoy the outdoors and all it has to offer like going for hikes and taking in the stars that shine in the night skies. Being able to experience three cultures simultaneously, would give me the illusion that I have traveled to those cultures’ countries of origin and experienced them individually.

36 Hours in the Dolomites

I would not like to visit the Dolomites because I am not used to the peaceful and the calm environment of the mountainous range in  Northwestern Italy. Although the Dolomites are known for its breathtaking views and photographic scenery as well as thrilling activities . Bike riding and mountain climbing might be exciting for some tourists but not me.  When choosing a vacation destination I keep a few things in mind such as high quality food , comfortable as well as modern hotel room/ suite . I prefer the city side of any destination rather than the rural areas of a destination.

My first job after high school was Room Attendant at a hotel in Queens (Paper Factory Hotel) I worked there  from 2014-2016. Presently,  I work at another hotel Four Points by Sheraton as a Room Attendant. After I enrolled in to college decided I will have a career in Nursing, however, I enjoy every moment of my room attendant  job. Later, I decided to change my major. The college I was attending did not offered hospitality management I transferred to CityTech. My first few weeks at CityTech have been great, my lectures are very informative. My experience in the hospitality industry and the incredible program CityTech offers  will help me reach my goal to become a General Manager at a five star hotel. I know with hard work and determination I will succeed.

Gharbia Bhatti

Hi there ! first of all let me introduce myself. My name is Gharbia Bhatti , I recently graduated from CUNY Kingsborough Community College with an Associate’s Degree of Business Administration. I am a junior here at City Tech, I decided to major in hospitality and management because since the age of ten I have helped my parents finalize billing payments as well as balance their check book.  My ultimate goal is to become a general manager of a hotel such as Marriott or Four seasons. Speaking from my academic experience  reading assigned chapters before a lecture is really helpful , if you’ve read the chapter before hand you’ll understand the content of the lecture much better.  My academic goals for this semester are not to procrastinate and complete my assignments on time as well as read the assigned chapters before hand as I mentioned before. Speaking of career experience I have volunteered at a tourism and travel company known as ” United Hajj Travel” from the year 2015- 2016 . I worked as a receptionist meaning I answered phone calls , booked airplane tickets , made hotel reservations for our customers . As I mentioned above I one day hope to become a general manager of a hotel chain such as Marriott . Personal strengths that I have which will later become attributes are patience , respectfulness and determination. I am always respectful to others no matter the situation.I believe that if I respect others they’ll respect me in return. Determination is key to achieve anything , without determination you cannot reach your goals. I believe my personal strengths can help me thrive and succeed in the hospitality industry because the hospitality industry business requires a lot of patience as well as respect towards the guests at the area of service.

36 Hours in Tucson

Tucson, Arizona is a place with a lot to offer for anyone visiting the desert city. From the tacos to the bohemian shops and the museums ran by University Of Arizona and others, there is a little bit of everything you can discover. Also, the use of old buildings with interesting pasts such as making a basement bar that used to be a morgue and a hotel that used to be a 1929 girls’ school, there is history at every turn. I would definitely visit here because I know I would always have something to do on every day that I’m there and the food seems amazing.

36 Hours in Tucson

Described as a desert city in which “foodies, cyclists, and the aesthetically inclined” will enjoy, the restaurants that combines many influences of culture. As an individual that is interested in cuisine, I would definitely travel to this location. El Charro, owned since 1922, a Mexican family-run restaurant, has a mash-up of Mexican flavors and “cowboy fare”, and this really interests me as I typically enjoy Mexican cuisine. In addition, Boca Tacos’s scratch-made tortillas and salsa is what really stands out as for tacos. This location is ideal for future cooks, so I would like to travel to Tucson.

36 Hours: Tucson

I would definitely be interested in traveling to Tucson which is in Arizona. To me it reminds me of my own precious city, NYC. Everything in the map thats being provided in the story seem so close together. What popped out to me the most were the tacos! they look very delicious and i would not mind trying them. I find the University Treasury to be a nice place to experience with your loved ones and enjoy interesting modern collections that is being exhibited.

I’ve always found myself to be an amazing people person since a very young age I’ve always known i wanted to cook and work and the hospitality management industry. When i finish school i want to either own my restaurant, run my own food truck, or start a small catering company which eventually I would turn into a catering hall. I’ve worked in so many fast food places, diners, catering halls from McDonalds’ to fine dining and I’ve honestly enjoyed every single job I’ve had and its because I truly enjoy what I do. I work very well with others, am very talkative, very driven and passionate about my job and what I want for myself in the future. At almost 25 years of age I know exactly where I want to be in 5-10 years.

36 Hours in Lugano

I would like to travel to Lugano because of the blending of both Swiss and Italian cultures. Its picturesque views and quaint coffee shops seems to be ideal for a getaway. The lush gardens and modern villas seem like the perfect place to escape the realities of life. The shopping lanes also interests me, because I like to buy items from vacation destinations to remember the time that was spent there. Being able to visit a restaurant with “ravioli of the moment” seems amazing.

36 Hours in Lugano

Lugano is a part of Switzerland that favors Italy in many ways. The food mainly consists of raviolis and other pasta dishes as well as some seafood dishes. In the article, they speak about one bakery and a bar that is quite popular as the night goes on. There are not many activities that do not involve boats or visiting the churches and one museum. The idea of being able to have Sunday brunch on a boat caught my attention and I thought it was pretty interesting. The town does remind me of Italy and due to that I would travel to this place. Mainly because it seems to be more of a relaxed setting and fairly quiet.
