This week they told the staff we are changing our hats for more professional hat. Also, I learned two new stations because I showed I was capable during the hurricane ride out. The two new stations I learned were line assist which was building plates and sending them out, as well as prep where I learned the different steps to assemble the food without relying on other people. My trainer showed me how to cook Caribbean food and showed me the recipe book because here we made food for different locations. On line assist I had to learn how to pick up pace and manage my time accordingly to be able to send out orders in a timely manner. I made a mistake i made two pans of carnitas but did not cut them down to bite size pieces. I’m now getting more comfortable in my environment by being able to ask for help easier. Despite being shy in the beginning, I am now also able to socialize more freely and know most of the staff by now.
