The part that affected me the most to understand this reading was the vocabulary and the way of expressing the idea. I think that from the beginning the reading was a bit boring and with a lot of information at the same time. When I mentioned Trujillo for the first time in the reading, I was pleased that he took out a separate paragraph to explain how this dictator influenced the history of the Dominican Republic. some words were a bit difficult to understand because I had to use the dictionary several times to understand the reading. For example, the name Fuku was used several times in the reading and even though I kept reading I could not understand the meaning of the name. I liked how I mix the words of English and Spanish for me it was easier to understand what was happening when I read a word in Spanish.

What, in particular, about this did you find boring– the vocabulary? Can you show a particular example? I’m just curious because he has such a unique way of talking, I’m interested to know what bores you about it!
