My question I want to focus on is why are black communities and other communities of color being gentrified more often recently. Not just communities of color, but poor communities overall. I initially became interested in this topic a few years ago as I did a project on it in school, and then it became an at home discussion. Furthermore it became really interesting when I saw implications of it in television. One example i can recall off the top of my head is on a show called shameless. They spent their season focused on gentrification and how it affects the culture and livelihood of sis’s communities. Although I learned the basics of it, I never really got into why it occurred or where it originated from. Basically all this to say, I don’t understand why it happens and why it is occurring more and more often.I also would like to know why most poor communities contain people of color, and why these neighborhoods specifically are being targets of gentrification. I expect to find that gentrification is occurring due to something in relation with pricing on housing and property, however I’m unaware how that specifically works. Meaning, I know that people are moving into these communities not only for the aesthetic but also pricing and stuff, but I want to know why it is happening so prominently. I also expect to find out that these poor communities are losing their culture due to these new buildings and individuals moving into their neighborhoods. This was also a topic in the aforementioned series Shameless, not only did gentrification affect them financially but also socially. I’d also like to know how this affects everyday life and citizen finances in real life. If I find information that goes against what I expected to find, one of two things could happen. I could either adjust my question to pertain to that information if that information is more prominent than the initial information I intended to find. Or i could base my claims off of both and combine the evidence to make a proper claim. Either way I will make sure to adjust and tweak my initial claim so that the information matches. I’m unaware right now what genre I want to use or what genre would fit with my question and paper, I guess this is because even after reading the article the concept of genres still allude me.

I am interested in this topic because teenagers have a tendency to mistake lust for love. As we all know, according to google that ” Love is a deep feeling of affection that you have for another person. It’s a lasting attraction that goes beyond the surface and turns into emotional attachment. Lust, on the other hand, is basically a physical attraction that leads to an overwhelming feeling of sexual desire thanks to a rush of hormones.” Teenagers lack the maturity and experience to differentiate between love and lust. I often see teenagers get into relationships and I wonder if its just a phase or is it the beginning of a disaster. In other words, the misconception of love and lust maybe a simple experience or a tremendous mistake that can scar for life.
After concluding my research I expect to gain the understanding to assist my fellow teenagers by helping them in their decisions prior to a relationship. Relationship is not something that you jump into, it is something that requires wisdom, time and patience its not something you jump into just for fun. Once you enter a relationship for entertainment, your emotion begins to get attached with the person and you will end up getting hurt. I also expect to find the reason why teens feel like they are ready to engage in such commitment without a clue as to where it may lead. I am an example of a bad decision made by my mother and father. I suffered the consequences of their bad decision. I am well and in college by God’s grace. Unlike other teenagers who did not have that opportunity.
If I do find information that goes completely against what I had expected to find, I will be happy to learn things from a different aspect. I am willing to learn, since one of my goals is to share and assist people with the knowledge that I gained. I intend to enlighten others with the truth even if it means that I have to challenge my own assumptions. The best way to assist others is to collect factual information and real life experiences, which will encourage the reader to think other wise and to be convinced.
I intend on using non fiction articles, television shows, books brochures, pamphlets and newspapers to obtain information as well as real life experience by interviewing others. Those genres will be great assets to obtain information and support the findings to my question.
My research question was, Is the theory of the multiverse real or fiction?
Why are you interested in this question?
I’m interested in this question because it’s something I have always felt fascinating about when I was little and its also like a hobby to me. I like astronomy I remember being in school and learning about this for the first time I was astonished of how much is outside of our planet and unknown to us, how much science had advance and is being learned all throughout the years. I never saw myself majoring in this because it requires a lot of math and science, I’m not really good at that :but, nevertheless is something that I like knowing about. There’s is an abundant of question’s to ask on this topic ;however, I precisely picked this question because it somehow relates back to the things I believe in. Whether it is true or not that is yet to be learn, for now its something that doesn’t just make me focus on just one part of the galaxy, but on the contrary makes me need to research more of the galaxy’s because of my question.
What do you expect to find in your research? (Why do you expect to find this?)
I expect to find an answer to my curiosity well a close enough answer to my question. I hope to learn more of this topic something that leads me to research another question, something new I learned about that I never knew before. As well where did this theory come from? Who thought of this? Why did they think such thing? Any evidence to back it up? I expect to find this because I know I won’t get the exact answer because of so many opinions out there ,but I can get something out of it, something close to an answer and learning something new that probably can lead me closer to my a truth.
What will you do if you find information that goes completely against what you had expected to find? (Will you throw it out? Will you write about it anyway? Will you challenge your own assumptions?)
If the information goes completely against what I had expected to find I will not throw it out, I will write about it anyway because at least the reader will understand what I had found out and why I got to the conclusion I got that contradicted my expectation. Not everything always goes the the way you want it to but, I can look it in a different way that will lead it to a new question, new research and hopefully an new answer that I was looking for.
What genres do you think might give you good information?
The genres I think that might give me a good information will be nonfiction books, primary and secondary sources, encyclopedic articles, textbooks, biography, essay, journalism, narrative nonfiction, reference book, speech and textbooks. This all contains factional facts that can be reliable and be used as a source as well as, answer my curiosity.
