Rough Draft

The  process of receiving or giving systematic instruction, especially at a school or university. That’s the google definition of the word education. But that not our definition of education. Education can mean to us getting a high school or college diploma. But education is more than that and it took me some time to figure it out.
Education wasn’t always important for me. When I was a kid I thought of it as something like a place where we are forced to go to learn about things we don’t need.  It was first grade when I realized it wasn’t the school I didn’t like it was the teacher. My first grade Teacher Ms Silverman wasn’t even a bad teacher it was the way my imagination saw her as. A person forcing me to do what I don’t want to do. It would be times where  I would go crazy run around the classroom and grab the teacher leg to get carried out or kicked out. It wasn’t until 3rd grade when I realized that education and being taught was important.  We started day 1 of the  State exam and I though it was like any test. But I was told if we fail we don’t move up. And I tried my best on the other test and past. It was there when I realized why some education is important. It can damage my intelligence and stop me from moving up to get closer to graduation. From there on I told myself education is about going to the next grade and graduating. For some reason and I am not proud of I would make fun of people who got left back. But I realized everybody had their own views on getting their education. My view change from being able to go up to the next grade to realizing that education is more than that. It’s about understanding what being thought and being able to recognize how it effects me and my education.

When I reach high school things change. I had this teacher who use to always say “ Education has no definition. The way we read write and work is the way we educate ourselves” My response to that was  “ education is about what you teach us. What we learn is education.” He remained us that education come in many different shapes sizes and many different forms. Education is about taking what we learn and using it towards a career and also using it in our lives. As I reach my senior season  in high school and this pandemic hit I was worried about ,y education. I was worried I wasn’t going to get it the correct way due to what’s going on. When we transformed from in school education to online education it did effect me and my leaning. It was harder to do my work. It was harder to understand without being in the classroom. Yes I graduated but did I learn anything did I truly get a good high school education. Did it affect the way I am going to learn in college. But then I realized that after taking my new college classes that education comes in many different methods. Educational methods include teaching, training, storytelling, discussion and directed research.  We can get an education from anybody me from anywhere weather we get taught in Different  ways Or thought by a different person. The real definition of Education is Judy using what you can get out of it weather you understand that or not. It’s about getting it and taking control. Education It develops in us as a perspective of looking at life. It helps us build opinions and have points of view on things in life.

Educational Experience

An educational experience i had was in My senior year in high school. I had a teacher who would always joke around and say things like ” your gonna be here next year”. or ” ya’ll not graduating”. This offended me because there were times where i did slack off  a little and was late because of the location i had lived. However it felt embarrassing  that a teacher felt that way about me. Those comments actually made me a better student because  look where i am now. In college making myself better as a person and gaining more education.

The plot, word choice, and figurative speech. Is what The ingredients are for a education narrative,

“When I was a teenager, I felt like I belonged nowhere. I know it’s a clichĂ©: Ni de aqui, ni de alla, but damn if I didn’t feel that“ This an example from the reading used to explain that the author is talking from experience and how he was as a child.  And as a child he felt like he didnt know what to do as a teen. Even though he felt down he chose to write about himself and they way he was educated. He stated that he loved reading and he decided that writing about himself would be a great way to show his your voice.

Questions  I have about writing my own narrative is what if I don’t have anything to write about?.
What if what I write about is my narrative?

What is my Narrative?

some of my concerns is finding a good educational narrative and finding how it relates to me and how it effects me.

I don’t really have educational narrative other than being able to make it to college and being able to graduate and grow as a person. But as I am growing in college I am creating new experiences and finding new educational narratives.
