Hello, we are already towards the end of the semester. I still not necessary sure of what I want to pursue but I know I’m in the right direction now I did accomplish the main goal we had and that was passing all my classes yay!!!The river was a picture of my semester self just with a lot of rocks alone the way, wind and rain that made me have a lot of hardships. I had a lot of distractions and procrastinated as well which made it hard sometimes but always completed my work on time. Of course I still don’t like to write I think I have picked up new skills in writing though ;however, I still need to learn more.

I became interested in the topic because when I was in middle school and they began to teaching me about astronomy and the famous scientist behind the discoveries to the world and their contribution to science it made me be intrigued on this subject. My inspirations at some point was to go into space and find out what’s out their, make a discovery myself and be recognized as a world famous female scientist. The pieces all fit together because it’s something that still intrigues me until this day and a dream I still wish to fulfill but I know it’s something that needs to be really understood and good in science and math which I’m not.
The audience I’m trying to reach for Unit two is teens that are into science I decided upon this because if any one who could be interested on this topic will be teens that are into science. Since they would be the ones that will be wanting to go into that field and study astronomy or become a astronomer, a famous scientist who discovered something. The genre I decided would be best to reach that audience is a magazine because it’s something where anyone that wants to know what’s up in the science world, new finding, will either look it up in the news, a magazine, articles or journals. I decided to talk about this particular aspect of my research so whoever is reading this magazine will have a motivation to say “I want to be the one who solves this question” like I did. The purpose of my piece is to inform whoever is reading that this theory won’t go away until someone says if the multiverse is truth or not and what has been discovered until now and what is left to be discovered.
It went good I used Canva along with one of there templets so I can follow and the information I think is more important and appropriate to use. The pitfalls of working with this genre is it can be hard sometimes understanding what the scientist are trying to say because after all itâs contains scientific terms. I learned that it doesnât have to be long just as long as you include whatâs will be important and interesting for the readers to read. I was surprised of what I did can be seen part of my magazine. The most difficult as usual is the grammar and where should I write what I wrote.
Thereâs a lot of complicated information about the multiverse out there, and I felt my job in this assignment was to make this information accessible to my audience. One thing I did to make the information understandable was to use the templates I found on Canva, which are visually pleasing. Also, because the language scientists use is very difficult, I had to spend some time figuring out which scientific words to include and how to explain those words. I was surprised to see how well this worked and how good the magazine looked. I still have some concerns about my grammar, as usual. I would have done nothing differently just improve the organization of my magazine.

Who is the audience of that mentor text? Would they also be interested in your project for Unit 3 (they should be!)
The audience of the mentor text is teens who are into science. They will also be interested in my project because the mentor text was about black holes, in the section of astronomy so my topic of the multiverse also fits in the section of the astronomy.
Look at the intro of that mentor textâ or if itâs something like a website, etc.. look at how the designers got the viewers interestedâ how do the writers âhookâ the readers? Can you learn anything about how to hook your readers from this text?)
The writers hook the readers is by it’s wording how they said the black holes isn’t something that has a precise definition but being the article short the text itself explained everything they believed the reader must know about. As well as the website it has a variety of sections and when you click astronomy it has a bunch or articles to read from but with a very interesting pictures to see first and then we have to click to see what is the picture about. I learned from this is how the colors impact and how that can help impact my engaging readers to read what I have wrote if I put both and it doesn’t generally have to be lengthy just as long as I get the most crucial information telling them what I think is important.
How are they using formatting or visuals? Are they using pictures? Headings? Subtitles? Etc⌠Will this help you in your own formatting?
They are using both one is visual a picture when you click the website you see a bunch of picture then when you click the picture you can see the article. Then is the format how lengthy it can be they are mostly short it even says in the end how long it will take a person to read it. Yes this will help me writing my own format because I can put both pictures and the how I will format my paragraphs.
