Research Question :how does the media influence our ideas of implicit bias, especially when it comes to ideas of race and criminality.”

My goal in this writing proposal is to inform people how media has been something that has affected my life, and many other.

The audience that I am trying to reach is people who haven’t experience meeting new people out of their race, and as a result get the idea of a certain race off of the media.

I think the genre may be poetry because I feel as if maybe if I can compare situations, and rhyme maybe it would be interesting enough for people to continue reading. I wanna be able to keep my audience engaged enough in order to get a understanding if that makes sense.

I do not know much of this genre but I have watched many artist who preform their poetry, and I have read many poems to understand tat the main purpose of a poem is to convey the bigger picture, and gain an emotional response. I ant people to get an understanding of how important this topic is for me and how important it should be for others.

My 1st step is to start off with some imagery. I want to be able to change a perspective in order for people to get a mutual understanding of what it is like to be a African American living in a world where stereotypes define them. My next step is to maybe paint the real image of media in a nutshell bring up the idea that medias purpose Is to create false images of individuals down from shows, movies, songs, social media, and Media(News, articles, and etc.). My 3rd step is to bring in the people who the media has affected to the point were they have either died, or been to jail. I want to bring in the purpose of why there is a nationwide movement, and why It is important for why change is needed but also why people shouldn’t spread these implicit biases when having a large following examples like Fox News.

My biggest worries about this project is that it may not be engaging, and people may not actually like it.
