Question :”how does the media influence our ideas of implicit bias, especially when it comes to ideas of race and criminality.”

Why are you interested in this question?: I am interested in this topic because I feel as if people are becoming less and less aware about what media is doing. Day by Day the media puts fear in individuals hearts and as a result people react in different ways to it. I think people need to be more aware to what media does. Media is something that majority human beings rely on whether is to get information or for entertainment .  Regardless Media is what people look to, and being that many people look to media many people have also been brainwashed by the media. For example when watching certain news Channels like Fox New compared to CNN we see the same things that are happening but worded differently,  which can influence ideas of implicit bias when it comes to ideas f race and criminality.

What Do You Expect To Find in your Research?: While researching my question I am hoping to be able to find more of the truth or maybe even an explanation to why the media does what the media does. I want to find whatever it is I need to find to answer my question so I can have more knowledge about my topic.

What will you do if you find information that goes completely against  what you had expected to find:  I feel like if I find information about my topic that goes against what I had expected I would still write about it. I feel like I want to have different standpoints just to be able to prove why what I a saying is more reliable and reasonable because their Is no one can actually say there is pros to instilling a negative idea of a certain group of individuals just to bring fear. I do not understand how we want to live in a world of peace and equality if we are constantly trying to bring one another down its very very weird to me.

What genres do you think might give you good information?  Being that my question is based around the media. Im gonna base it around the news channels, and news articles.I feel as if they are the main ones to establish fear in the viewers.  So that information would be good information on my end. I think by comparing these news channels and articles it would help the people reading my essay get a sense of the “bias ” that i am talking about.
