In the article āNavigating Genresā by Kerry Drik. He states that genres have many types for example terror, entertaining, performance, and secret. He tried to show us how genre goes behind any type of conversation. He said if you try to write a genre you have to think before writing that how your genre sounds like basically the tone. When I start reading this article the pivot point that I found very interesting and grab my attention was āQ: What do you get when you rewind a country song? A: You get your wife back, your job back, your dog back . . . this question really hit me as in to read all the article. At some point, I agree with this answer because the country really means that where you can level freely with your family and do what you feel passionate about. Furthermore, itās true that the country songs are used to motivate and give courage to their country people. Therefore people can love their country and keep it safe. I learned the genre rules from my high school teacher and after writing essays and stories. Also after reading this article I learned new rules to write a genre. Basically, I teach myself how to write genre by asking for help from my teacher. In this article, Drik used Alliteration that refers to showing the same even again and again. The genre that I feel I know well itās about historical events.
