I am really excited to be taking this course! I love working and learning about our rights as well as what we can do to fight for them. In high school I was a student activist and worked with others to educated students on what their rights were in and out of school. I also helped set up rally’s to get people involved in fighting for their rights and the rights of others. My only fear is that because school is online I might have a difficult time keeping up. With school being online there is a lot of room for error and I fear that I might miss important information if something should happen. Below i’ve put a photo of an instagram post that my internship made. In the post they spotlighted me because of the work I had done for them. This means a lot to me because I dedicated a lot of my time to my internship and for them to recognize the work I did means a lot to me!

I understand your concerns, Michelle– I prefer being in person myself. I also prefer living in a world without a pandemic! But don’t worry– we’ll be in touch at LEAST once a week and you’ll be able to reach me as much as you need to. So excited to hear about your activism work– and such a great image!
