Brandon Prince

I intend to accomplish everything I set out to do and make all my ambitions a reality. I intend to use my experience as a server to help me transition to bigger and better things. I have aspirations to become a bartender and perfect my craft. I’ve been at my restaurant for a little more than 2 years and have worked my way up to where I am at the moment, I was hired as the first ever male host and since then I’ve experienced every front of house position available. My long term goals are to sharpen my leadership skills to the point where I can manage a restaurant.

In the fall of 2014 I came to City Tech for the first time, I arrived thinking I was going to be in the accounting industry. Took a year to decide all the paper work, number tracking and sitting behind a desk wasn’t for me. So I went into liberal arts, it was there where I met a good friend named Justin who persuaded me into joining Hospitality because we had spoke about our goals in life, things we want to do and it was then were I wanted to join Hospitality because I want to learn about different cultures and type of foods. I’m very open minded to culinary and hotel management and not too sure what I want to do yet.

“36 hours in…” -Jackie

Would you or would you not want to visit the place written about in the ā€ 36 Hours inā€¦ā€ article? Explain why you will or will not go.

I would definitely like to visit Marrakesh. The first reason why I would be because of the very hook..”the streets and bazaars spill over with artistry”. The sentence itself says a lot about this place has to offer. After reading this article, I stayed fascinated with how explicit the author was describing Friday at 8pm “…beef shank with candied lemons and a standout chicken tajine stewed in a broth of diced onions and topped by sweet tomato jelly sprinkled with sesame seeds and almonds. Saffron and cardamom infuse the dual crĆØme brĆ»lĆ©e dessert”. The description brought a lot of flavor and spices to the dish, not imagining the kinds of food they prepare in Marrakesh. The other reason why I would visit is because on Saturday at 10am, the author implies that is hardly quiet up until you reach a certain place in this case “Le Jardin Secret,” Ā I instantly though New York City. A boisterous city, where cars don’t stop honking, people are always talking, chanting, you hear everything but unlike Marrakesh you might not even reach silence.
