36 Hours in San Diego by Steven Aguilar

Would you or would you not want to visit the place written about in the “36 Hours in…” article? Explain why you will or will not go.  In the article “36 Hours in San Diego” I discovered I would also be intrigued on visiting here.  I do like to travel as much as I can so I can discover the different cultures integrated in each state of the U.S or outside the states.  The reason I would like to visit San Diego is because there some spots that have caught my attention that was mentioned in the article.  One restaurant that was mentioned is a one called “Panama 66”.  I am intrigued by this restaurant because it told me that it has beautiful views such as the May S. Marry Sculpture Garden.  The restaurant also serves local craft beer and California Wine.  I want to try every wine possible.  Another great location that has me interested is the Little Italy neighborhood.  I want to explore the kind of culture that has been integrated in the streets of San Diego.

– I would explore DUMBO more then I already have so yes, I would visit. Brooklyn is such an incredible place to explore and environment truly rich with arts, entertainment, and food. If you were to visit and permitting you are old enough you can go to this swanky dive bar for a night cap. If you’re a family then you and your children can enjoy Jane’s Carousel, then have them experience a new adventure through food to Spain at La Vara. If they still a little hungry after that then the parents can enjoy a Maple Shay espresso drink while the kids snack on doughnuts to end their night. If you’re an artist, foodie, or just a person who enjoys everything amazing and special the world has to offer, then the former warehouse district in DUMBO is just what you need. It holds Brooklyn’s most cherished bookstores, the art studios have the most interesting exhibits, and some fascinating vintage shops. For these plus more are some reason I would visit Brooklyn or in my case continue to explore.

36 Hours in Brooklyn

Would you or would you not want to visit the place written about in the ” 36 Hours in…” article? Explain why you will or will not go. I would like to visit the place written in 36 hours, for starters there are many things to do and places to see in Brooklyn. Brooklyn has a lot of interesting must see, historical grounds. For instance, the Bargemusic, an 118 year old floating barge that has been open since 1977,presents chamber music. With decent ticket pricing at $35 and yet if on a budget they provide free “music in motion” concerts that work best for you. Another place to visit would be the King Theatre, started in 1929,  few years later closed down and reopen 11 years ago. With affordable ticket purchasing, standard tickets begin at $15. Known for its beautiful ornate molding and velvety drapery.

  • Using examples from Disney’s Approach to Guest Service, describe a time when you experienced “Disney Like” service. The time where I experienced “Disney Like Service” was when I went to six flags, even though the service isn’t compared to Disneyland. My first time going to six flags was when i was 8 years old.  I really enjoyed the trip. I remember buying toys from the gift store and a stuffed animal my step dad won in a contest.  It was a thrill and I remember The people who worked there giving me a smile.  Disney’s Mission statement, ” we create happiness” and six flags rides and activities were made the trip there memorable.
  • Think about the information presented in the chapter and then conduct a Self Assessment of yourself. What personal traits will you work on to meet the expectations of the hospitality industry? The traits I will work on my self is being more formal and being able to communicate well with guests and able to have good talking skills as its important to have in this field.

Explain why you will or will not go. in the article “36 hours in Brooklyn” shows how beautiful Brooklyn can be.  As a resident of Brooklyn I can tell you it has both its pros and cons. One reason I would travel to Brooklyn if I wasn’t a resident is that history it has and the great places to such as Prospect Park and Coney Island.

I would definitely like to visit Marrakesh. The first reason why I would be because of the very hook..”the streets and bazaars spill over with artistry”. The sentence itself says a lot about this place has to offer. After reading this article, I stayed fascinated with how explicit the author was describing Friday at 8pm “…beef shank with candied lemons and a standout chicken tajine stewed in a broth of diced onions and topped by sweet tomato jelly sprinkled with sesame seeds and almonds. Saffron and cardamom infuse the dual crème brûlée dessert”. The description brought a lot of flavor and spices to the dish, not imagining the kinds of food they prepare in Marrakesh. The other reason why I would visit is because on Saturday at 10am, the author implies that is hardly quiet up until you reach a certain place in this case “Le Jardin Secret,”  I instantly though New York City. A boisterous city, where cars don’t stop honking, people are always talking, chanting, you hear everything but unlike Marrakesh you might not even reach silence.

36 Hours in Marrakesk

  1. Would you or would you not want to visit the place written about in the ” 36 Hours in…” article? Explain why you will or will not go.  I would love to travel to the “Jewel of the South” at one part of the article Sherwood spoke about the food, and just like that I wanted to go. I would love to visit the markets and the galleries Marrakesk had to offer. If I was to travel to Marrakesk I would love to see the  Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden because I will get to see all the cultural that’s in Morocco.
