This article shows a recent update of the perspectives of inmates in prisons during this pandemic. Throughout the prison, the number of Covid cases highly increased. Incarcerated people inside the facility elaborate on fearing for their lives due to the prison not following protocol. In the article, stated by one of the prisoners name Jermaine Archer, “Plus we’re in disbeliever country, where some of the [COs and medical people] don’t seem to think it’s that serious. Sometimes they don’t wear masks. I don’t really think I can convey to you how scary that is.” This article is important and very useful for my unit 2 assignment because it’ll make my hypothesis stronger of having knowledge of the perspectives inside.
