Micro-Activity #12: Researching

My research question will be “What challenges do the aging homeless face? And how can these be alleviated?” It has been an arisen issue for the aging homeless in New York City. They make me wonder about their lives. What have they been through? What is their living situation? Even though I could not imagine how they feel, I know their lives must be bitter. It makes me feel sad when I see them on the streets, and they do not have a shelter. I really would like to investigate this problem because they make me noticeable their exist. Therefore, this is how I get interested in my question. I am interested in this because I am concerned and sort of sympathetic about them. It seems unfair to the aging homeless. People are supposed to enjoy their life after they get old. However, people who have low income and work for long hours, they may not get that enjoyment. They do not receive a lot of pensions from the government, which causes poverty. It is sad to see that they are struggling right now. During my research, I expect to find answers about the issues, the influences, and risks of aging homeless in this society. I wish to find a variety of helpful resources available to them. I also expect to find more information about what the government can do in order to help them alleviate their difficulties. If I find something that does not fit my hypothesis, then I would still write down that I gather the result as a part of my research. I think this is important because I can go back to review what I have done. Then, make a judgment about whether I should change my hypothesis or look for a new answer to support that.

Excellent! This is well thought out and clearly focused. This post can be revised for the introductory section of your annotated bibliography.
