For Monday, 9/19 (asynchronous, work due on our class site by 11:59 pm)

  • Work on your own “shitty first draft”! Review the essay planning worksheet from class today. If you were not in class, you can download the Unit 1 Planning Worksheet
    • Note that the worksheet is not helping you create content for your essay. Instead, it is meant to help you think about purpose, tone, and the details you will include in your education narrative.
  • Once you have reviewed your work from class, draft your education narrative.
  • Write a post that includes a link to the google doc of your Unit 1 draft.
  • Before publishing your post, make sure you do the following:
    • Title it “Unit 1 Draft”
    • Pick the category “Unit 1 Work”
    • Then publish the post

    Unit 1 Draft”

Since I was young, I have always loved learning, going to school, and making new friends. I also loved playing in the gym after doing different types of exercises with the gym teacher that I used to have in my old school.

My favorite subject till this day is math. I loved math because I always used to get the answers right no matter what type of math we used to do in my old school. There were other subjects I used to find a little difficult for me like ELA, and social studies. I found ELA, and social studies difficult because I had a hard time reading things on the board and on paper. The teachers used to help me a lot because at that time I did not have a CCTV machine to help me see things on the board and I couldn’t see things on the paper either.

Now that I am in college it is sometimes still a little difficult, but it is not as hard as it used to be. I am always trying to stay strong and think positive.
