Below are links to various resources and services that may be helpful to your students.
ASAP is a support program to help students graduate with an associate degree in a timely manner. Students in ASAP get access to personalized advisement, career counseling, tutoring, tuition waivers, and some types of financial assistance. Eligibility restrictions apply.
ACE is a similar program to ASAP for students enrolled in bachelorās programs.
The Atrium Learning Center, located in LG-18, offers tutoring in math and biology, as well as self-paced computer training in Microsoft Office.
Center for Student Accessibility
Student Accessibility provides support and reasonable accommodations for students with permanent or temporary disabilities. Any student with an IEP or who thinks they might otherwise qualify should check with the center. You can also refer any student who, due to illness or injury, must miss more than a few days of class.Ā
The childcare center offers accredited childcare and early childhood education services for the children of City Tech students aged 2 and up, including evening and Saturday care for school-aged children. Some students will qualify for low-cost fees.
Current CT students can sign up for an appointment time to pick up grocery items, including fresh foods. There are also āGrab and goā no-cook options students can take without an appointment.

The Counseling Center provides short-term and crisis counseling and offers referrals to a wide range of services. They also host workshops and support groups regularly throughout the school year.
This program offers mentoring, workshops, and more to eligible Hispanic and Latinx students.
Students receiving assistance through the NYCHRA (Human Resources Administration) are eligible for this program, which offers support, advisement, and paid work study opportunities.
This program offers paid jobs and service learning opportunities to students who qualify for federal work study.
First Year Programs offers many programs, including tutoring, peer mentoring, workshops, the CT101 orientation class, and more.Ā FYP also publishes the Companion for the First Year, a comprehensive student guide, a new edition of which will be available online in August 2023.
Fitness Center/Zoom Fitness Classes
Students have access to a variety of programs, and can sign up for slots in the fitness center.
International Student Services
Provides international students with support and advice on visa status and various other legal matters.
NYPIRG, the New York Public Interest Research Group, mobilizes students to conductĀ research and advocacy on local issues.Ā Students at various CUNY campuses participate.
Professional Development Center (PDC)
The PDC is located in the Welcome Center on the first floor of the library building. They offer advice and career planning as well as job search help, including help with resumes and interview skills. Students are encouraged to meet with the PDC starting in their first year at the college.
This office helps students access and apply for a variety of private scholarship and grant opportunities. (This is distinct from the financial aid office.)
SEEK is a state-funded program that supports students who meet certain financial and academic guidelines. The program offers a wide variety of resources. (Students must apply for the SEEK program at the time they apply for admission to the college.)
Student Government Association (SGA)
The SGA is the representative body for students on campus. It advocates and liaises with administration as well as managing the school activity fee and assisting clubs. The SGA comprises seven executive officers and thirteen senators. You can encourage students to participate in SGA elections and to run for office if they are interested in leadership positions.
Student Life + Development (SLD)
SLD oversees numerous student programs, including the food pantry, student clubs and organizations, and various events and graduation celebrations.Ā They also administer the SGA and oversee the peer navigator program.
The Student Success Center (SSC) is a resource to help students navigate and access resources at City Tech. Itās located in LG-18. The SSC runs the Navigate academic intervention program. Any student who needs support but isnāt sure where to go, or who is having trouble accessing services or interacting with any office can reach out to the SSC for support.
Tutor.com [log in through Bb; access may vary]
Tutor.com is a comprehensive online tutoring service. Students can connect with real tutors for virtual tutoring sessions in a variety of fields. Student access is evolving.
Students can access a range of health services and supplies. Students can also access low-cost dental care through the dental program and eye exams/glasses through the ophthalmic dispenser/opticianĀ program.
The Writing Center, located in G-608, is open to all City Tech students and offers in-person and online tutoring. It also offers workshops on writing skills, etc. Please make your students aware of the Writing Center and encourage them to visit if they need help with any writing project.
