VOE Roster

Verification of Enrollment (VOE) Rosters

Approximately two weeks into the start of a semester, you will be required to submit VOE Rosters for your classes. (This can be done in the “Faculty Center” area of CUNYFirst). You will be asked to verify whether students enrolled in your classes have attended or participated in the class in any way. “Participation” includes communicating with you, submitting homework of any kind, or interacting with online course materials.  Any student who you mark as non-participating will be automatically withdrawn from the class and receive a “WN” grade. You should not mark anyone as non-participating who you have interacted with or received homework from. (For more on this, see below.)

While it is important to submit these rosters on time, it’s also a good idea to submit them as close to the deadline as possible, to give students every opportunity to participate. You may also consider attempting to contact delinquent students before the deadline to check on their intention to participate. (Some students do not receive school communications, or they may be confused about the school calendar and unaware that classes have started.)

Please make every attempt to submit accurate information. Once a student has been withdrawn from the class, it can be a bureaucratic headache to get them readmitted.
