Photocopying, Printing, and Computer Services

Photocopies

A department photocopier is available in Room N503. There is also a photocopier available in the Faculty Resource Center on the Ground Floor of the Library Building, in Room LG37 (see below for more info). Self-copying is recommended for smaller copying jobs, while for larger jobs you are encouraged to use Reproduction Services.

The maintenance contract for all campus copiers has expired, and as of summer 2023 there is no new service contract in place. As copy machines break or require service, they are rendered unusable. For this reason, the copy machine in the English Department office, Room N512, is inoperable. We hope that this situation will be amended in the near future.

Reproduction Services

The campus has a Reproduction Services Department, which is located in the basement of the Namm Building, Room NC-26. They offer a full range of black-and-white and color copying services, as well as various other printing services. You can submit a job by walking a hard copy to them, or by emailing them at reprocenter@citytech.cuny.edu. Allow at least a week for regular jobs, or more for specialty or high-volume jobs. Visit their webpage for more information.

Computer and Printer Access (Faculty Resource Center)

For adjuncts or other employees who may not have reliable access to a computer or printer, the Faculty Resource Center offers internet and network access on both PCs and Macs, along with a black-and-white printer.

There are also cubicles where adjunct faculty can join Zoom meetings or hold virtual classes. (Headphones are required and are not provided.)

In addition, the room has a photocopier available for faculty use. Copying or printing large jobs (more than 100 pages at a time) is strongly discouraged. It does occasionally happen that the copier breaks down, or that the supply of paper runs out and is not immediately replaced. See below for the number to call to check on the availability of resources.

The FRC is located in Room LG37 (the ground floor of the Library Building). A City Tech ID is required to access the room.

The Center is generally open Monday through Friday from 10am to 6pm during the fall and spring semesters. In the past, the Center has been closed or available at reduced hours in summer. It is recommended to call 718-260-5368 in advance, if possible, to double-check current hours and resources.

Those with access to dedicated computers and printers who need tech support can contact the Faculty Help Desk by email at helpdesk@citytech.cuny.edu, by phone at 718-260-5626, or in person in Namm Room 901.
