I prepare for my academic journey by ensuring all my coursework is on track. I actively seek clarification by asking questions and attending tutoring sessions. Engaging with individuals who share similar academic interests is also important to me. Iā€™ve joined a club where I feel comfortable and have a sense of belonging, which helps enhance my college experience. I believe that college is truly what you make of it. If you surround yourself with people who make it enjoyable, thatā€™s the perspective youā€™ll carry throughout your college years. For example, in my BIO 1101 class, Iā€™ve made a friend with whom I regularly discuss the material. We support each other, ensuring we both succeed. Building understanding and friendships in the same field makes navigating college much more rewarding.

As I prepare to become a City Tech student, Iā€™m feeling a mix of excitement and a little bit of nervousness. I canā€™t help but wonder if Iā€™ll adjust to the new academic challenges, but I know thatā€™s just me overthinking since Iā€™m doing well in all my classes so far. To ease my worries, Iā€™ve been taking some steps to prepare. Iā€™ve been learning more about my program and checking out the courses Iā€™ll be taking in the future. Itā€™s been interesting to discover whatā€™s ahead, and Iā€™ve also explored the resources available to help me along the way.

When preparing to become a college student I feel like I wasn’t really prepared. I always knew that I wanted to college, so I feel like I never felt that excitement. I only felt nervous before and on my first day of school. During the summer I came on multiple days and talked to the staff and even some peers just to know around. I had a lot of resources being emailed to me and came for 4 days for a first-year program about Math1275. I looked a lot into the programs before coming into college and view classes I needed to take. I was also connected to a Bridge coach and did a lot of calls and asked a lot of questions about FAFSA and TAP and it helped a lot starting college!

I’m preparing to become a City Tech student by getting myself familiarized with the community and resources. During the summer, I took a math and city tech workshop for a week, and I say it helped me a lot in getting to know the experience of being a student at City Tech. During that workshop, I got to log into my city tech email and make a brightspace and an open lab account. I reviewed basic algebra, which helped me remember all the stuff I needed to prepare for my math class. I also ensure I stay on top of my work and stay organized. I got my city tech ID early, that way I didn’t have to wait in those long lines and be late to class. I was a bit nervous for the first day, but I was glad I took the time to prepare during the summer and get to know all the different buildings and where everything is.

I try not to worry about how anxious and unsure I am throughout this transition since I know that these feelings won’t help me get to where I want to be in a few years.

Iā€™m preparing to become a City Tech student by finding the right classes for me to take. I’m also trying to sort out financial aid so that I won’t have to pay out of pocket for tuition. But I would go and figure it out by asking the financial aid office and see what I could do. I feel that I’m falling behind in a way that I don’t know who my advisor is and etc, but I just need to be more on top of my work for now.

I am preparing for college, I just recently find out that how to get into Rad Tech major, so I just have to do a few more steps to get in touch with Rad major people. What I learn is if student are wanting to get into a major in college, they must have to ask the information, and find an advisor and know where to find advisor.

I’m preparing to be a City Tech student by trying to adjusting to the courses that it takes to become a nurse. When I first entered college I was nervous and exited at the same time because it was going to be a new experience compare to high school but it was nervous because you don’t know anyone and it was going to be a whole different chapter. But I have realized that its important to be friends with people that are really trying to success in life so both can be successful.
