Week 5 – Lighting Direction

To start, I had to pose the subject before the camera to understand where to begin. Before taking the photos, I knew that I wanted to keep the subject in the same spot since it falls down easily. I then took my light and moved it around the subject while looking at the camera to figure out where the most interesting lighting positions would be. This meant figuring out how far away the light needed to be from the backdrop, how close it needs to be to the subject, and the angle at which the light is being shot from. After figuring this out, I started to shoot away.
