I thought it was nice to show the love for reading. I added books in the background and a magnify glass to show how focus the person was in his/her readings.
When I first started I decided to go for a rocky view near the water( having my window curtain portray the ocean) but was not happy with the results so I decided on creating a somewhat gazebo with rocks around it. Also, the reflection of the glass portrays a small pond.
I used a radio and two lights placed right above it and tried to capture images as the lights changed colors.
Initially, I placed the candle on a wooden table and it didn’t have a romantic feeling to it. . I placed on a dark surface instead and dim the lights. This is the result, which I think is more romantic.
This is my photo for this lab, Romantic. I wanted to make a painterly, super dramatically lit, almost abstracted take on a classical ‘nude’. In my opinion, there is nothing more sensual and romantic than the disrobed human form, but I tried to abstract it where it’s hard to tell who it is.
