IM – Jessie captured really well the life and enjoyment in a park on a sunny fun filled day and also captured the energy of a rainy day with its solitude and reflections from the puddles from multiple different angles.

JL – I think Jessie did a great job capturing the two completely different feelings during the day with joyous smiles and fun activities and the lonely vibe of the rainy day empty park.

IM – My suggestions would be to explore the playground at a time when it has more life and kids having fun. I enjoyed the person sliding down the slide and would love to see more of it.

JZ – I liked the shallow depth of field and how there still so much info in the background but the foreground element still captures your attention.

Freeze Motion

Jessie’s photo of a man playing baseball or catch caught my eye because it left me with a sense of suspense. Did he catch the ball or did it go through his legs like Bill Buckner in the 1986 World Series? I like how the ball is caught suspended just above the grass, it could still be jumping up or on its way down.

Photo Critique

Gloria’s Photo of the Vessel in Hudson Yards captured my attention. The diminishing scale of looking down from the top is a great perspective and how she was able to get everything essentially in focus really lends to perplexing nature of all these stairs and repetitive-ness makes its feel never ending or some sort of spaceship death star type death ray.
