We discussed how Jing Wang used exposure to change the mood of the ice cream truck photo. I loved how she used the leaves and flowers to surround the sun/sunset, and help focus on that subject using her surroundings.

I used different shutter speeds because the exposure wouldn’t work correctly for me on others. I took multiple pictures repeatedly throwing the ball, trying to capture as much movement as I could on each setting.
To get these different black and white versions, I used lightroom on my phone to play around with different things such as highlights, shadows, saturation, contrast, exposure, etc. I very lightly changed hues.
It was a bit difficult to get the ghost to look black, but I got it as dark as I could. It was a lot easier to manipulate the exposure of the black item to look white.
I really liked the outcome of this photo because it is not only a worm’s eye angle, but he also seems to be using the rule of thirds using the pole. I thought it was very interesting being able to distinctly see the two skills used in one photo. The only thing I would say that may help is to trim that tiny piece of tree in the corner.
