On the top is my classmates Andres hand, I chose this pose because the lightening is very crisp yet soft. His hands looks very gentle yet firm hanging onto the curtain. The picture I recreated pretty much mirrored the same position and lighting as well and shot on the iPhones just make it look very clean and high resolution.

Lovely. You reproduced the gesture beautifully. Note the difference in the lighting. Andres’s photo is back lit while the light in your photo seems to come from the top left. This makes Andres’s image appear more melancholy and yours more hopeful.
