What makes a great photograph? I believe a photograph needs a focal point, good lighting, clear perspective, focused and not blurry and in some cases vibrant colors depending on the type of picture. Some photos should be able to tell a story or have a type of meaning embedded inside. Photos should also carry a type of emotion for those who view it. Photos could also carry intensity or movement to symbolize something during the time of when the photo was taken.

Having a focal point does help a photo communicate. The photographer can direct the viewers attention and with this tell him or her what is important in the scene.
