Yashoda: HW#4 Robert Frank’s America

I think Robert Frank’s photographs are artistic as well as repetitive. He tries to illustrate how Americans are in their everyday lives by religion and politics. For example, the way they behave towards African Americans. However, he tends to capture similar types of photographs over and over again. He tries to show how America is as a whole; country. Frank is from Switzerland and was not familiar with racism before which bothered him that Americans were acting this way towards African Americans. Although his photographs were simple each of them had a true real meaning. Frank could not understand how a white person would not sit next to a black person but yet they trust them to take care of their child. This specific incident showed political discrimination.
