For my instructional manuals, I am planning to create a simple database for a beginner. For that reason, I have searched on google about manuals on creating a database, and the result I got is from an IT certification website called Pearson. After reading the article, it seemed very complex for me even though I have some knowledge about the database. Therefore, the instructional manual is not for beginners to learn about creating a database. The second thing I have noticed is that there are no pictures of steps but a lot of words and paragraphs. It is poor for the learner because it might confuse the learners if they don’t have any experience. Also, the languages used in the article are for professionals, not for regular people; this manual will be hard for ordinary people to understand the instruction since they won’t have the context.
For my second article, I choose a completely different instructional manual for DSLR cameras from sony. The manual tech people how to set up automatic eye tracking in the camera so the camera can focus on that person automatically when taking a photo. The manual is relatively short and simple, with words and symbols printed on the camera. Also, based on the manual seems like most ordinary people can follow the instruction and set up the camera.

Very interesting. That first one is indeed complicated and very hard to follow. Even a non-tech person like me might have found visuals of some interest even if I didn’t follow the text. The DSLR instructions are, as you indicate, just right for someone who is new to DSLR cameras; this is a good one! Nice work.
