Did you know the hospitality industry is the most female-friendly industry, which is one of the reasons why I picked hospitality industry management as a major, I have been working full time working in the hospitality industry since I was 17-year-old. My name is Valerie Acosta, but some people call me Val. I was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in NYC. Spanish is my first language, and English is my second language. Iām interested in learning French as a third language. I enjoy taking my dog Chanel out for a walk and watching the sunset. I like to enjoy the small moment in life and remind myself to live in the moment. People might not know when they see me how much I love to travel; I enjoy exploring new places.
About
ENG 1121 is all about you in the world.Ā If ENG 1101 is about you getting more comfortable with your own process, and with some of the tools writers use, then ENG 1121 is about seeing how all that knowledge works not just in academics but also in the world of work and community.

Traveling can be a wonderful thing to do — so much fascinating stuff and so many interesting people out there! It’s good to be in a female-friendly industry, too. And dogs… oh my goodness… Welcome to the class.
