Calendar update – Date of Exam #2 changed to 10/25

Hi everyone,

The date of your second exam has been changed from Thursday, 10/20, to Tuesday, 10/25.  This change will allow me to grade and return your first homework assignments on proofs (Chapters 4 & 5, due 10/18) prior to the exam, so you can get feedback on your proof-writing (yes, there *will* be proofs on the second exam!).

This change meant a few minor changes to the project timeline, nothing significant.

Exam #1 grades are posted

Your grades for Exam #1 are posted on the Grades page (email me if you don’t remember the password decided on in class).  Current grades for the Homework and OpenLab portions of the class also appear.  Exams will be returned on Tuesday.

Exam #1

Hi everyone,

Our first exam will take place on Thursday, September 22nd.

The Review Sheet and Answer Key have been posted to the “Classroom Resources/Exam Reviews” page of the OpenLab.

IMPORTANT: Problems #7c and #7d on the Review Sheet have images of Venn diagrams which do not print well – take a look at the online version to see which regions are shaded in.  Same goes for the Answer Key #7a and #7b.

If you get stuck or have questions about a problem, feel free to leave a comment in reply to this post – I’ll check it regularly and respond here.
