  • Sketch #1 Stair Plan and Section
    • INSTRUCTIONS: Go to this link at dimensions.com https://www.dimensions.com/element/straight-stairs and redraw the STRAIGHT RUN STAIR PLAN and SECTION. You need to scroll down and don’t need to draw the elevation portion on the right. You may print out the images, trace them from your screen or transpose them freehand. Add notes, words, title block information and drawing symbols as needed.
    • On plain blank 8 1/2″ x 11″ sketch paper, submit in .pdf format.

Module 2: All Upload to Blackboard

  • Reading Notes 4, 5, 6, and, 7
  • Sketch #2 Brick Patterns and Hatch Patterns
  • INSTRUCTIONS: Draw 3 Brick Patterns and 3 Hatch Patterns, with labels. Each pattern to fill a 1″ x 3″ shape.
  • Brick Patterns: Running Bond, Flemish Bond, Stacked Bond
  • Hatch Patterns: Brick, CMU, and Rigid or Batt Insulation
  • Draw Brick all to same scale, Draw Hatch to same (by different from Brick ) scale. Note that Hatch Patterns are diagrammatic, and Brick patterns are literal, show 5/8″ mortar joints.
  • Include drawing name, pattern names, class, date, your name.
  • On plain blank 8 1/2″ x 11″ sketch paper, submit in .pdf format.

  • Three Drawings: Plan Detail, Section Detail, and, Axonometric

Module 3:

  • Reading 8 notes
  • Reading 9 notes
  • Reading 10 Concrete notes
  • Sketch #4 – Sketch the Plan of the structural bays for Module 3. See the image below as an example. The sketch should show all the accurate dimensional info, identify the structural members, drawn approximately (not exactly) to scale, with notes, calculations, and other reference data. Use this sketch to then create your Axonometric drawing.
