Posting Your Work

Each week you will post your homework assignment, sketchbook drawings, and class drawings. Submit your work on time, and you will be miles ahead. The college credit hour policy requires that students commit 2 hours per week per unit of credit. This is a serious time investment; take it seriously. You will discover how the creative process behind each assignment brings you genuine satisfaction as you watch your skills improve. Begin your homework early in the week to avoid last-minute pressure. Be one of the first to post.

Great tips for success

Attending class: You will greatly improve as an artist by participating in the primary synchronous part of your course: the weekly class sessions. There you will gain invaluable experience by working with your fellow students. Classes provide an educational “safe house” for sharing ideas and processes, discussing problems, drawing together, experimenting and taking visual risks, receiving feedback and instruction firsthand, and developing as an artist and communicator.

Completing assignments: You are required to complete weekly assignments designed to hone your figure drawing skills, build your class portfolio, and apply and practice the lessons you learned in class. Students who complete assignments on time show the highest levels of improvement in drawing skills and confidence. Post your assignments—homework projects, sketchbook work, etc.—online each week by the deadline. Late projects may negatively impact final grades. Stay on top of it. Go for it. You can do it.
