I am applying for the Social Media Marketing Position at DC Comics and am highly interested in joining the Summer 2014 internship team. I love DC Comics! I’ve got a strong passion for Batman and have always been ecstatic when it comes to speaking about these superheroes. I found out about this position via word of mouth from one of my student colleagues. Currently I am in my Senior year working towards a Bachelors degree in Communication Design with a focus in Web Design. I am always brainstorming ways on how to expose new ideas and brands to the general public in a fashion that is entertaining and interactive. I have a knowledgeable background in social media marketing. I also have experience reading Google analytics and using social media to attract unique visitors to sites, thus increasing traffic. I love wetting my feet in new projects and immersing myself in hundreds of ideas.
My portfolio consists of a healthy mix of self started projects as well as team projects that required input and constructive critiques in order to successfully progress. Website re-designs and mock ups along with wireframes, and research such as usability tests and card sorting are among some of my best works. Other works are the life of a music blog I ran for a few months along with the analytics data from Facebook marketing as well as Twitter. I’m in constant use of mobile technology and fundamentally understand what it takes to develop and create content for users in order to attract traffic.
