Hey, I’m Rachael Mangal and my major is Fashion Marketing and Merchandising. I’ve been interested in Fashion ever since i could remember. I love controversy & music. When i was a little girl i was interested in Fashion Designing but i think i would work better behind the scenes in the fashion world handling the business side. I am a very open minded person and look forward to this semester! By the way, i hate talking about myself.

Rachael, Thanks so much for the post! I think controversy and/or music are both excellent possible topics for the middle section of our course! I’d love to read your blog sometime, and I hope you will at some point feel comfortable sharing the link to it with our course. As a Fashion major, you will, I think, get a lot out of the Roland Barthes book. Barthes was extremely interested in fashion, as am I, even if it may not seem that way all of the time ;).
