When I first started at my internship placement, I didn’t know what I was getting into. I thought I would just be doing some small works around the studio and maybe some graphic design works as my internship title when I first started was as a graphic designer. While making VR apps me and the interns were told to learn how to use a 3d modeling software from google called Sketchup. I would learn how to use the software while I was doing my other projects and while doing so I thought I was learning the 3d Modeling software to makes models that we will be 3d printing at the studio.
Our studio does annual 3d design challenge called CC3DP where elementary and middle schools will compete with each other by building the challenge by the use of 3D Printing. When the CC3DP season began our supervisor told us that we will be going to an elementary school and helping a class which will be competing at the CC3DP challenge and we will be teaching them how to use Sketchup. I was very nervous because it was my first time teaching something and to elementary students. I was nervous at first but the students interest in learning how to use the 3D modeling software made me want to teach them. Teaching the elementary students was a great experience and would do it again when the next CC3DP challenge happens.
