FARIDE MEREB is a book designer, art director, researcher, and educator of design.  Her book covers include images and type that are layered to create special depth of and movement.  Faride Mereb uses contemporary and traditional fonts and varied orientations of words to create interest for potential buyers of the books she designs.  Her color schemes range from the contrast that can emerge from a one-color pallet to full spectrum.  Some of her works include partial gray value or just white and black.  Faride Mereb use of words in her design is expressive yet precisely oriented.  I am inspired by her passion and seek also to expand my own exploration and presentation of words, text, fonts, space, and images within my own designs in future works.
