This is a case study write-up of one of the first patients I have completed during my second semester. The takeaway message from this experience is:
“Although patient noncompliance was not the greatest experience, looking at it from a positive perspective, I am thankful for this experience. This encounter taught me to have a balanced attitude, set reasonable expectations, and reminded me to be modest. Even though I only want the best for my patient, I was reminded that I have my limits and can only do so much. As long as I am aware that I have tried my best, I should be proud of myself no matter what the outcome is. Thus, I will keep this experience in mind for future patients and for the rest of my career.” (This excerpt can be found on page 6.)
