Some Shelf Portrait info and resources

Hi Class,

Some Shelf Portrait INFO and Resources:

Here is a document that may guide you. It is ONE possible format that your Shelf Portrait document can take.

Here is a short list of Citation Help sites in case you are having trouble understanding citations.

And finally, here is a short video in which I try to re-frame or otherwise clarify the direction of this assignment.

As I state in the video, IF you have NOT already spoken with me either personally or in email about your Shelf’s focus/topic, you MUST do that ASAP — before you hand it in.

Mid-Term Conference Week (no in-person class)

Hi Class,

As you know, there is no in-person class for us next week (Mar 25–29). Instead, I will be having 10-minute, One-on-One Conferences with each of you on Zoom. I do this at mid-term so I can give you your Mid-Term Grade, go over how you are progressing in the class, and also so that you can get any last-minute help with your Capstone 2 project due at the end of the week.

You must attend a Conference to get attendance credit for the week.

Here is the link to the Sign-Up Sheet. If it fills up, please put your name at the side, as indicated, and I will try to see you during drop-in hours / during and alternate time.

FYI, Mid-Term Grades are abbreviated as follows:

P = passing

BL= borderline

U=unacceptable
