Its amazing how far we have come in the past 10 years alone, i can imagine just how far we’ll be in technological advances in the next 10 years. The possibilities are endless

Erik Ramon’s Presentation:

I find that drugs and famous people are positively correlated. Colin Kroll is just another example of this. Last year, I hear from a  successful person that he uses drugs to focus, to remove all the distractions. When he is not distracted he is able to work on his idea and make it happen. I think those people drop out of school/college because it is a distraction for them. Colin Kroll, he was a genius or maybe just someone who focused on what really mattered to him—his idea.

Eric’s Presentation:

Interesting story, I’ve always wondered who created Vine and now I know more about the sad story.

• Presentation 1 Erik Ramon- Mr. Kroll was a very intelligent man, i did not know he was the guy behind vines. It’s a shame his life had to end by the hands  of drugs although he had so  much potential.

Hi Erik, your presentation on “The Tech Whiz behind Vine and HQ Trivia…” was interesting and informative. I did not know about the apps that Kroll invented so thank you for that. It was a bit unfortunate that he died from his bad habits, never getting a chance to turn his life around. Hopefully this will act as an eye opener showing how drugs can destroy your life.

It is very interesting to hear the back story of Mr.Kroll and the story behind Vine and HQ.Trivia. This was my first time hearing about HQ.Trivia and the concept of it sounds very interesting.

Mohammad’s Presentation:

This new streaming idea is a risky thing for me because this product depends on an internet connection. Internet connection is not always reliable. They say that they are serious to make this available for everybody but to fulfill that their customers need a proper internet connection. In addition, what everybody means for them, only the United States or does it include third-world countries were internet speeds does not reach 10 Mbps.

Another issue is that they say it will save money. But that is coming with a cost—the cost of slavery. We are going to be a slave to their service. Another factor to that is that it only has one control. So, to play with friends we cannot do it offline and to play we have to pay. For example, I have a PS4, if my friends come over to my house I can play with them offline because PS4 supports multiple controllers, and I do not have to pay any more if I want to keep playing the game.

If the gaming service is running well, it is a good invention. What is the price range for this Gaming service And is the software stable?

I came in towards the end of the presentation so i do not think it would be fair for me to comment about the content. However, I was able to catch a few minutes before the end and think the presenter did a good job showing that he owned the topic. The few slides I saw from the door looked great and the presenter was very confident in his answers to the questions asked.
