  • To present work to the class for critique
  • To complete any unfinished work
  • Bonus: Literary Arts Festival

Reading

  • Find mentor texts/model texts to read
  • If you have time and interest, read some of Akwaeke Emezi’s writing. If you can, attend the Literary Arts Festival on Thursday, 4/27, 4-6:00pm. Don’t forget to register!

Writing

  • Share as a comment to this agenda any mentor/model texts you found useful
  • continue drafting Project 3

In-Class

  • Where are we with Project 3?
    • Write a checklist of your goals and the work you need to accomplish.
    • Share your checklist with the class:
    • Research more counter-arguments to avoid tunnel-vision
    • Finish Project 2
    • finalize audience and genre
    • do some research about that genre to know its conventions
    • learn how to use certain software or equipment?
  • Independent/partner working time
  • Now where are we with Project 3?
    • Focused freewrite: What did you accomplish? What’s next?
    • Share your accomplishments and new goals with the class.
