This week, weāre still beginning our research project, the reflective annotated bibliography. As you get comfortable with the details of the project, what you need to know is that youāre going to do some research and share it in the form of a bibliography plus annotations, or notes, about that source.
But before we can get started with any of that, letās think of what sparks our interest that we want to learn more about. For this discussion, add a comment in which you list different topicsāwhether you understand them well yet or notāthat you might have to or want to take a stand on in your studies, your job, career, dream job, in your community, or in your life.
In class last week, we brainstormed about issues we identified as important for us to consider can intersect with built environment fields. These include AI, environment/climate crisis, well-being, election 2024, economy/business trends, collaboration/work communication. If you have other issues you want to consider for this project, let’s talk about them!
We also spent some time thinking about how these issues intersect with built environment fields to ask research questions like “how will rising sea levels change building styles?” and “how have building materials affected health?”
In your comment, make a big list of possible ideasāone of these ideas will spark something for you, and whatever you cast aside might spark someone elseās idea.
