CDGM 1111, Visually Enhanced Quote Project
The first design is typographic design. I used Queen of heaven regular for calligraphy words which are “The earth” and “listen” as I wanted to emphasize them. Then I used Lato thin italic for the rest to create contrast between thick and thin. I kept all types in italic to make it look like it’s floating. Also I added texture on the background to create subtle water smudgy texture.
For Second design, I used image of the ocean. This is more image dominant design so I put quote on the right hand corner to lead the eye to the image first. Also, I toned down the opacity of text so it reflects the meaning of the quote “….for those who listen”.
For third design, I created very geometric landscape illustration. I added some textures to illustration to create organic look. I used water color like texture and blender maker texture that I made and kept them in earthy colors. Also, I changed the background color to pail yellow so it matches with the overall color of illustration.
