I think that means that the one who reads learns many things. Because the readings have a lot of information that help us live day by day. It is important for this class because it tells us that we are going to leave with a lot of knowledge.

What I think the meaning of the quote is someone who reads is reliving the stories or the information that you are gaining from the book, and someone that doesn’t read will not be able to experience other people’s viewpoints. This quote is important to our class because we are reading other people’s stories and what we gain from that is new viewpoints learning new words and vocabulary.
