I’ve always had difficulties with short story writing. Since I was young my writing skills were never so great but throughout college, especially throughout this course, I’ve noticed my skills excel. I used to have difficulties when choosing words, whether it was for the simplest of sentences or even the more complex ones. When writing a short story, there’s always a sort of format that a person follows, but for me, I always use to join ideas together, mix different points in time, and overall make the story difficult to understand/read. This class pushed me to be better because I haven’t had a “writing intensive” course in a surprisingly long time. I love the effort that I have to put in to make my writing better, and how we have the chance to revise and rewrite our work in order to push it to be the best version it can be.

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
