When reading, “My First Day”, I noticed the author described the events of her life into very specific detail.  When starting off, the author describes her morning of what she wore such as yellow socks and her blue and green dress. In addition, she mentioned that her favorite shoes were her black shoes which she wore. Later on in the story, the author remembers back when her mother was in an argument with a school staff member becomes she was not allowed to go to the school Seaton. Later, they were then sent to go to the other school where we later find out the authors mom has an issue with reading and writing to where she had to ask for assistance. One question I would like to ask the author is if her mom influenced any of her life choices as she grew up.
