What I enjoyed about ” The First Day” is the detail, how descriptive it was, and the word choice that the author used. For example, Jones stated, “I am wearing a checkered like blue-and-green cotton dress, and scattered about these colors are bits of yellow and white and brown”. That alone just makes the audience visualize what is going on and makes it easier for the reader to understand.

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!

I agree! The description was a major part of the story for me. I feel like it was able to help me imagine the scenario that Jones was in a bit more.
I agree because she is describing her clothes from such a young age which I find very impressive!
