My experience with dialogue writing has been pretty good. At first I struggled with it because I wasn’t sure when to add in the stage directions but after I got the hang of it I enjoyed it. Writing dialogues felt like I was telling a very specific story and was acting it out. It was a little difficult to find the content I was going to write about because as I was going through my text messages I didn’t really think anything was worth writing about. A lot of my conversations were short and were just questions and answers because I usually facetime someone when I actually have to talk about them. I found it easier to create a dialogue based on a conversation I had with someone in person because there was more that was said .

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
