My experience with poetry has been between good and hard. In the beginning, it was a bit hard trying to write poetry because I thought it had to be written in a certain way, I also thought that it had to rhyme. But as classes passed I, figured that it didn’t have to rhyme or be written in a specific way. So that is when poetry became easier for me, I just had to know what I was writing about and made sure it made sense. Poetry is a beautiful type of literature because you don’t have to follow a template as you would on an essay, in poetry as long as you know what you are writing and as long as it means something to you that is good enough.

Office Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM. I’ll be available through Zoom and will send an invitation via email that you should keep all semester. Try to join my meeting at the start of the hour, not at the end—since I may be talking to other students or have another appointment after the hour is up. If those times don’t work with your schedule, we can schedule a different time. This means you’ll have to schedule an appointment in advance. I suggest you have multiple times in mind, since your schedule may not mesh with mine!
